Configuring the media player
Configuring PiCube & HDCube media players
PLUG & PLAY DISPLAYS CAN BE CONFIGURED FROM THE DISPLAYS SETTINGS
You will a need an empty usb flash drive and a computer for the configuring
Go to Displays (media players) from the menu tab and click
configuration file
The default is DHCP ethernet settings
If you have fixed IP addresses, deselect DHCP and fill in the required fields
If you also have a proxy, deselect it and add the address
Note! When using the usb modem, the configuration is done with DHCP ethernet settings
If you have a wireless network connection, select wifi as the network type and enter the network name (SSID). If the network is password protected, select WPA / WPA2 as the encryption and add the network password
By selecting append settings, you can check the network information before downloading the configuration file. If the network information is correct, download the configuration file to your computer
Add the downloaded file to the USB stick as named player.conf (the file name cannot contain any other characters or the player cannot recognize the file)
Connect the media player to the displays, turn on the player, and insert the USB stick into the media player
Wait until the “Media player configuration” screen appears to the display. Check that the network information is correct and that the network signal is working
Configuration is now complete and you can remove the USB stick from the media player, which will restart to complete the setup
