Displays & media players

On the Content Manager main page are showing the playlists in the current zone. Displays and media players can be access through filter by selecting Displays (media players)

Display name, ID-number, network status, currently playing content and display orientation (landscape or portrait) can be seen on the main page.

Click the display icon to open the tools. Click the screen to go to display view




Click ✎ to make changes to settings


Details
ID-number, software version, last connection and last reboot can be found from the side bar.

When the display icon is green, the display is online. If the icon is red, the display is offline and last connection time can be checked from the settings. Read more about common problems here

Name and the time zone can be changed. We recommend to name the displays and media players clearly, based on their locations for example, so that later on its easy to know which display is which. 


Resolution
In most cases, when the media player is connected to the display, the display resolution is automatically recognized. The resolution can be changed from the drop-down menu.


Screen rotation
The content direction on the display can be changed with screen rotation, if the screen rotation isn't automatically recognized. The correct screen rotation is the one in which you have to turn your head to seeing the content correctly


Screen saver
Screen saver can be used in all FirstView -displays. When the screen saver is on, the display will be turned off as scheduled.

There are three options for each day of the week:


Scheduled = the display turns on and off by the scheduling
Always off = the display is off all day
Always on = the display is on all day


Reboot
Media players and displays can be reboot remotely when network connection is on 


Report lost connection
From the drop-down menu, select the time (in minutes) after which the selected users will be notified by email of the disconnection of the network. Learn more about selecting users here

Note! If the display or media player is powered off, it will be decoded as disconnect the network
