You can add a variety of content from M365 to the screens, for example files from Microsoft Online and OneDrive and various views from Sharepoint, Power Bi or Teams.
Microsoft authentication is required to display non-public content. In addition, M365 content requires the HDCube+ media player to load the content correctly and provide a good user experience.
Start with the plus button and select PowerPoint.
1. Open the file from M365 that you want to share on the screen.
Attention! The plus button's own selections must be used for different file and content types: Excel, Power Bi, PowerPoint, Sharepoint, Sway and Teams. Always add content via the relevant application selection.
2. Name the content
3. Copy link
Copy the link of the opened PowerPoint from the browser's address bar, and paste the link into MediaCloud.
4. Autoadvance settings
If selected, the presentation slides will automatically change according to the timings. Attention! The timings of the slide show must be added in the desktop version of PowerPoint, so that they are available when the file is added to SharePoint, for example.
5. Edit the scheduling
By default, content will appear on the screen as soon as it is added. You can schedule the content to start later by selecting a time from the calendar. When you turn off the 'endless' option, you can also add an end time, at which point the content will automatically disappear from the screen. More instructions on timings can be found here here ».
6. Adjust the duration time (in seconds)
7. Adjust refresh mode and refresh frequency
Refresh mode = how often the page is refreshed
Always = the page is reloaded every time
Custom = the page is reloaded after a set time
Never = the page is never reloaded
We recommend using the custom refresh mode. If the page is self-refreshing, select 'never' as the refresh method.
Refresh frequency = the time (in seconds) after which the site is reloaded when using the custom refresh mode.
If the content changes frequently but the web page is not self-refreshing, a few minutes is a suitable refresh frequency. If the content of the page is not updated very often, the refresh frequency can be quite long, at least 10-15 minutes (600-900s).
8. Change the priority if necessary
Read more about priorities here ».
9. Frequent replay
The option plays the content in the playlist every other time. Without a selection, the content is displayed in its own turn.
10. Full screen
The option applies to screens divided into multiple screen areas, read more about screen areas here ».
10. Select the playlists to link the content to
11. Finally, save the content!
Note! M365 environment settings may affect the visibility of content.
