Timeslot defines the maximum duration for each playback cycle of a playlist. It allows you to display, for example, an advertising or campaign playlist alongside the main content, where each content gets equal visibility.
Timeslot seconds ÷ duration of individual content = content per round.
For example, 30 s ÷ 15 s = 2 images at a time. If the setting was 15 s, one image would be shown per round.Equal advertising visibility. All partners or campaigns receive the same number of impressions in one campaign, even if content is added or removed mid-season.
The main message remains in priority. The company's own content rotates in each round, and ads complement the round with a predetermined time budget.
Multiple priorities for the same screen. If some advertisers need longer visibility, a separate timeslot playlist is created for each duration.
Timeslot in a pharmacy example
Two playlists rotate on the screen:
The main playlist is general info: opening hours, seasonal themes, health tips.
Alongside a timeslot playlist for partner ads:
8 ads at 15 s timeslot
At the end of each round of the main playlist, one partner ad appears on the screen; after the eighth round, the cycle starts over.
All partners receive the same visibility, and the pharmacy's own communication remains a priority.
